All of us experience memory changes as we get older. But when should we be concerned? Many families wrestle with this question as family and friends grow older. There are common signs of Alzheimer’s and other dementias that cause memory, thinking and behavior problems. The key to recognizing the difference between normal aging versus signs of dementia is how the changes affect or interfere with daily living. Understanding these warning signs will help you determine when it is appropriate to see your doctor for a diagnosis. Congratulations to Darlene who was motivated to take control of her diabetes after taking the DEEP class. She lost 47 lbs. and now maintains a normal blood sugar level, without medication.
