Misinformation appeared on this website, on a page entitled, Medicare Plan Finder. There were incorrect costs and incorrect information about covered drugs. For those who chose the wrong plan during Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period (OEP), there is a “Special Enrollment Period” (SEP) to fix this problem. The SEP lets you change your Medicare Part D coverage or Medicare Advantage Plan coverage. To use this SEP, call 1-800-MEDICARE and explain your situation. You should not be required to show proof of the misinformation. There is no deadline to use this SEP in 2020. You should have the name of the new Medicare Advantage or Part D plan you want to enroll.
