8 Serving Our Seniors is someone to call when you need help. 419-624-1856 800-564-1856 This is the first year that the U.S. Government is asking people to complete the census on-line. If filling out the census on-line scares you… Don’t be afraid! Serving Our Seniors can help. Serving Our Seniors is a Census Ambassador for Erie County residents ages 60+. Call our office (419-624-1856) and ask to speak with a Senior Advocate Assistant. Arrange for an appointment to come to our office at 310 E. Boalt Street, Sandusky. A Senior Advocate Assistant will help you fill out the nine (9) question census survey. You can use one of our computers to answer the questions. If you don’t want to use a computer, then answer the census questions by phone. Call 1-844-330-2020 (English), 1-844-468-2020 (Spanish), 1-844-391-2020 (Mandarin), 1-844-398-2020 (Cantonese). For other phone numbers go to: https://2020census.gov/ en/contact-us.html Whether there are 10 people, 3 people or 1 person in your household, it’s important that each and everyone one is counted one time on the 2020 U. S. Census. A lower census means our schools, health department, cities/villages/townships will receive less federal and state funding. BEWARE OF CENSUS SCAMS. If you receive a 2020 Census Survey in the mail and it asks you to report information such as your social security number, Medicare number, Medicaid number, checking account or credit card numbers this is NOT part of the census. This is a scam. Do not fill out the form and do not mail it in. If you have any doubts, bring the census survey to Serving Our Seniors. We will assist you determining if it is real or fake. Serving Our Seniors Takes the Fear Out of Being Counted!
