Get Up, Get Out and Go! Mobility Managers Kelly and Alicia A collaborative effort of the Sandusky Transit System and the Great Lakes Community Partnership provides “Travel Training” for anyone on how to use public transportation. Mobility Managers Kelly and Alicia (above) are available for one-on-one instruction on how to schedule a ride with the dispatcher, board the bus to a specific destination, and take the return ride home. The Mobility Manager travels along with new passengers and stays through the whole experience. The training sessions vary from person to person. The Mobility Manager will ride along from start to finish until they are comfortable and confident in using the transit on their own. Please call Serving Our Seniors (419-624-1856) for assistance in setting an appointment with a Mobility Manager or you may call the Mobility Manager directly at 419-333-5081. Perkins High School students Gracie Nielsen and Lorilee Williams tutored Mary Ann Erhardt and Marilyn Beckman through Boomsquad program. Free tech tutoring is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please call Jenn Galloway at 419-625-1252 to sign up for some Tech Time! Members of the Remember Crusing Car Club present a donation of $800 to Serving Our Seniors in November. Serving Our Seniors is very fortunate in receiving community support of our mission to help older adults in Erie County maintain their ability to live independently. Many thanks, Cruisers! 17
