Serving Our Seniors received a $1,000.00 grant to fund
ballroom dancing lessons at Sandusky High School. The
classes are taught by senior citizen, Joe Santoro for the
2013/2014 school year.
On November 4, 2013, ballroom dance class started.
Joe, who has worked as a professional dance instructor
for 45 years, is teaching students at Sandusky High
School, who beneft from receiving special attention in
order to learn and develop.
Thanks to this grant, Joe’s work is breaking the negative
stereo-types about aging and making a signifcant
difference in the lives of others. You can too! Each
Monday, Joe teaches two classes, 1 hour per class.
There are more boys than girls in the class. We are
seeking female, volunteer, dance partners from 10
am – 11am or from 11am – noon. All classes take
place at Sandusky High School. For more information

Pat Killingsworth, 78
years old is living an “Old
Is Vogue” lifestyle. She
is a retired RN and has
been teaching exercise
classes since 1978. She
is certifed by Fitness
Through Music, Exer-Safety
and International Dance
Exercise Association. She teaches exercise two days
per week and class size ranges from 4 – 12 people/day
of every generation.
Pat’s exercise classes are low impact aerobics for 55
minutes; easily adapted for all ages. Everyone works
at their own pace. Each class starts with a good warm
up, transitions into a cardio response and onto foor
exercises. She uses ½ lb weights. Class concludes with
a 5 minute cool down.
