Thanks to the generosity of individuals, organizations
and businesses, Serving Our Seniors replaced its
2004
Rural Hot Home Delivered Meal Truck.
It had
95,000 miles on it. Serving Our Seniors would like to
acknowledge the following:

$4,474.00 to be used
toward the purchase of
a
new mini bus
. ODOT
will be awarding the
mini-buses to selected
organizations at 20% of
the actual cost.
It is due to the generosity of others that Serving
Our Seniors is able to offer services that help
independently functioning senior citizens to maintain
their independence. We are very grateful for these
donations!
Donors Help to Replace Vehicles
This vehicle has served the community well. It was used
in 2001 through 2006 by the Erie County Senior Center.
When the lease expired, Serving Our Seniors purchased
it with 58,000 miles for $7,000.00 in 2006. Serving Our
Seniors Volunteer Drivers used this car to take area
residents to out of town health care appointments from
2006 – 2010.
In late 2010, it was re-assigned and is being driven by
the Senior Advocate, Anthony Pool. Today, it has 150,000
miles and is starting to rust. It’s time to retire this vehicle.
