Be sure to tear out the Calendar of Events page and post it on your refrigerator, so you can plan to attend. For starters, the three lovely women who appear on the cover of the magazine, Darlene Walk, Lolita Hayes and Dawn Washington will be at Senior Fest 2023, singing a classic rock concert. Senior Fest is a celebration of being age 60 and better. For more details read page 15. Thank you to all readers who acted on my plea for help and mentioned something to businesses advertising in Serving Our Seniors Magazine; and for thanking existing advertisers for their advertising support. It made a difference! As you can see, we raised enough money through advertising sales to keep this issue to 24 pages. The future of Serving Our Seniors Magazine is still in flux. Would you do me the favor of reading page 9 and giving me your feedback as I seek ways to make Serving Our Seniors Magazine a self-supporting publication. On the Calendar of Events on page 4, as well as, page 6, you will learn what Serving Our Seniors is doing to bring geriatric medicine expertise to Erie County. I hope you will join me when Serving Our Seniors hosts three geriatric medicine specialists to speak on a range of topics to help you grow older well. Enjoy your summer and I look forward to seeing you all soon! Sue Daugherty 3
