Each share their own perspective about what it means to be “old” and their feelings about aging. We want you to do the same. After reading the article, please tell Serving Our Seniors what you think about the word “old” and how this term makes you feel. Ultimately, Serving Our Seniors wants to make Erie County the best place to live for aging successfully - physically and socially. You will also read about our efforts to foster opportunities and positive experiences to help you age healthier, medically (read pg. 15, 18, & 21) and emotionally (read pg. 4, 20, 21 and 22). Part of that equation involves finding caring people for hire to provide help in the home (pg 15) and to ben an Advocate for health and functional independence (pg 17) in later life. It is my hope that you might know someone who fits our need. If so, please tell them about Serving Our Seniors. Oct 15 – Dec. 7 is the season to renew your Medicare drug coverage. Serving Our Seniors is here to help Erie County residents. If you are unfamiliar with what to do and how, read page 21 and call us to make your appointment. Finally, let me conclude by thanking the 40+ readers who made the effort to call or e-mail me to express support for Serving Our Seniors Magazine. I so appreciate your feedback. Be sure to read my update on pg 9.
