Caring Hands for Seniors Offers Wheelchair Transportation Serving Our Seniors has been making public pleas to retirees to volunteer, one day per month, to drive a functionally, independent, Erie County resident, age 60+ to an out of town health care appointment. We are proud to introduce to you our three newest heroes , who have come to our rescue. All have passed a criminal background check, drug test, driving assessment and are now volunteering to help their peers maintain their health by getting them to health care appointments located out of town. Most trips are as far as Cleveland or Toledo, and anywhere in between. Although on rare occasions requests are sometimes much farther away. Vince recently moved to Erie County from the Cleveland area. He said he decided to volunteer after he read about it in Serving Our Seniors Magazine April-June 2022 issue. “I used WR YROXQWHHU KHOSLQJ SHRSOH ¿OH WKHLU WD[ UHWXUQV 7KLV JHWV PH out of the house and I know the Cleveland area really well.
