for 25 Years for almost 25 years, too. She started working with me in 1997 as a part-time secretary. She had the only computer in the agency. The rest of us worked on paper with a pen. Five months later, we hired Pat full-time as the Office Manager. She retired from her full-time role in 2011, but still works approximately 9 hours a week providing administrative support. We are lucky to have her. Anthony Pool, has been with us for 17 years and was promoted, last year, to Quality Assurance Manager. He is doing a super job! He manages the majority of the people who work at Serving Our Seniors, while at the same time makes sure all of the Advocates are performing quality work…. Including his own. In 2011, Patricia Stineman started the Medicare Counseling program at Serving Our Seniors as a volunteer. She did this along with volunteer Bill Biehl. (Bill continues to volunteer immense amounts of time to Medicare Counseling. You would think he is an employee.) Patricia was hired in 2017 as a part-time Medicare Education Specialist. She trains volunteers who desire to learn how to counsel others about Medicare. She also tackles the complex Medicare counseling cases, along with the help of Bill Biehl. I don’t know where we would be without them. Jo Seiler, recently retired from full-time employment to accept a part-time position with us in 2021. She is in-training as Medicare Advocate and will soon be helping Patricia Stineman by sharing the load in counseling retirees who are stymied by Medicare and all of its nuances. Not pictured is Wendy Boyer, Senior Advocate Assistant. She has been with us for 10 years and substitutes in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager. Her lengthy experience and valuable knowledge, as a Senior Advocate Assistant, is very helpful to the organization, as a whole, and to her co-workers. Brenda Henry, (not pictured) is the Office Manager. She started working with us in 2017. She said she really never heard of Serving Our Seniors before she saw the Help Wanted ad and decided to apply. We are so glad she did! She coordinates the volunteers, orients new employees, and handles all of the bill paying and record keeping necessary for the monthly, quarterly and annual reports...and much more. Anna Moses, started working with Serving Our Seniors, filling temporary roles, while a student studying social work at Firelands BGSU. She was hired as a permanent, part-time Senior Advocate Assistant in 2017 and later moved to full-time. In 2020 she was promoted to Anthony Pool’s previous position as the Senior Advocate. Morgan Newell, started working part-time as a Senior Advocate Assistant in 2016 and left to accept a full-time position as a case manager. She later became an elder abuse investigator/child services investigator in Huron County. We were fortunate to attract her back to Serving Our Seniors in 2020. She works full-time as a Senior Advocate Assistant and substitutes as the Senior Advocate when needed.
