SURGERY
Expertise. Precision. Dedication.
It is unusual to find a medical center that excels at the routine as well as the
complex. But Firelands Regional Medical Center is exactly that kind of place.
With surgeries fromhead to toe, Firelands Regional Medical Center performs
over 13,700 surgical procedures each year at our main campus and our
outpatient surgery center. And each of our 17 surgical suites are equipped
with the latest in medical technology and equipment.

Martha Quinn, now retired from professional dancing says, “Never
miss a chance to dance.” In October of 2013 she started a chair
tap dancing class. Her first class is now starting their fifth session
of classes. Martha is so pleased with how well everyone is doing.
Martha has successfully recovered from knee replacements. She
said, “You will be surprised at what a good work out you can get
seated in a chair. First we warm up with exercises. Tap comes
next. The whole time we practice, we are working on our core
muscles for strength; and learning a routine makes us work out
our memory. When you learn how to tap, you have to learn what
step is coming up next”, said Martha.
The next class will be October 22, 2015, 2 pm – 3 pm at the Erie
County Senior Center, 620 E. Water Street – Sandusky. The cost
of the 10 week course is 10.00 per person. A missed class can be
made up.
