Celebrate America
Since my 50th Anniversary of being Miss America 1963,
I wanted to bring some very special talent to Sandusky
and Northern Ohio, the women who became Miss America
before and after me. This is why I am bringing the World
Premiere of “CELEBRATE AMERICA“ featuring 9 of my
Miss America Sisters to Sandusky. They are professional
actresses, vocalist, pianists and dancers:
BeBe Shopp 1948, emcee, young at heart; Debra Barnes
1968, pianist/professor of music; Dorothy Benham 1977,
vocalist with ochestras; Susan Powell 1981 actress/
vocalist, “Home Matters”; Kellye Cash 1987, niece of
Johnny Cash, actress/vocalist; Kate Shindle 1998, actress/
vocalist, President of Actors Guild; Katie Harman 2002,
opera, vocalist with orchestras; Ericka Dunlap 2004,
vocalist/speaker on Diversity; Mallory Hagan 2013, dancer/
speaker on Abused Children; Jackie Mayer, Miss America
1963, motivational/inspirational speaker.
