In 2013, for her
80th birthday, Mary
Lou (Windisch) McKillips
decided
to celebrate life by zip-lining at Tree
Frog Canopy Tours in Loudenville,
OH. She did seven zips. The longest
and fastest was 1,100’. “It was
exhilarating to say the least,” she
said. The tour also required two rappels and a mile
walk over rocky, root infested, hilly terrain, which she
also completed.
Sue Kimball, age 69,
and
her significant other, Michael
Pommeranz, traveled to Glacier
National Park. While appreciating the
river at East Glacier National Park,
these two unsuspecting vacationers
didn’t realize they were a stone’s
throw away from a grizzly bear. The bear came down
to get a drink of water. A passerby captured this on
camera and gave Sue the photo.
Rev. Herman S. Robinson, 68,
is
the founder/CEO of A.C.O.R.N’s
Ministry (A Christian Organization
for Right Now). Through it, he has
launched a “Roundtable Mentoring
Workshop” for Erie County Family
Court; “Warm Socks for Seniors”;
“Warm Hoody Sweatshirts for Kids”;
“New Leather Shoes for Lil ACORNs.” His altruistic
and philanthropic accomplishments are unending.
On
October 22, 2016 The N.A.A.C.P. – Sandusky Unit
3199, recognized Rev. Herman Robinson with the
Outstanding Performance Recognition Award
for all
that he has done for so many.

On March 4th, 2017, Serving Our
Seniors will be “SEEING GREEN” at the
Fourth Annual “Seeing Green” Reverse
Raffle taking place at the American
Legion in Sandusky. Doors open at
5pm. Dinner is served at 6:00 pm.
Only 251 tickets will be sold for this
event! A single ticket purchase includes dinner, a goody
bag valued at over $50, and a
