132 Erie County residents, ages 60+,
recently attended a breakfast seminar at
Caesars Crystal Palace in Sandusky. The
seminar was entitled, “When You Know a
Victim of Financial Elder Abuse”. Financial
Elder Abuse Investigator/Trainer/Consultant,
David Kesser and Geriatrician, Dr. Ronan
Factora, MD were the speakers. The training emphasized
the importance of reporting when you suspect someone
is a victim of elder-fraud or elder-exploitation. Based on
the audience response, the seminar was a great success!
Later that afternoon a luncheon seminar was held for
professionals. Sixteen Erie County professionals attended
this training with David Kessler, who educated those who
attended on best practices when
responding to reports of suspected
financial elder abuse.
