SANDUSKY LIBRARY presents
“COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY WEEK”
Join Sandusky Library for
“Compassionate
Community Week”
from May 16-21. Sandusky
Library is hosting a week of events which support
Serving Our Seniors in its desire to make all of Erie
County a place where people live by the Golden Rule.
The Library’s programs are for all ages:
Kind Story Time
featuring a
“Fill a Bucket” story and
crafts.
The “Fill a Bucket” idea was created by Donald Clifton
and shows children how easy it is to express kindness.
Mixed Media Thank You Card Making program.
Patrons can make cards that pass kindness on to
another person. Make someone’s day – a person you
see, but don’t know their name.
An
Adult Social Day
where patrons can create their
own
“Acts of Kindness” Cards
and also post ideas
on how to create kindness.
A
Book Discussion of The Power of Kindness: The
Unexpected Benefits of Leading a Compassionate
Life
by Pierro Ferrucci, led
by Instructor, Julie Didelot
of BGSU Firelands College.
The books are provided by
Serving Our Seniors.
Carolyn Wenner of
Cornerstone Counseling will
present
“How to be a Kinder Person.”
Lori Esposito, of Sandusky Library, will talk about how
you can bless others with kindness while decluttering
and organizing your home, office, or your life in her
program,
Bless this Mess
.
See our booth at the Wightman-Wieber Safety
Fair
. Library staff will be passing out “Fill your Bucket”
bracelets and other kindness-themed items.
